Panama’s, Fedoras, Cloches oh my! Hats are this summers smartest accessory. Chic, affordable, playful, and healthy when paired with some sunscreen, hats are key in staying both stylish and protected from the summer heat. Here is an assortment of this summer’s must have and favorite affordable hats.
The Panama: A lightweight and tropical feel is what the Panama hat is all about. I finally got one and absolutely love it. Being sensitive to the sun, the Panama protects my upper shoulders while keeping me looking stylish. Word of advice, the lighter the hat is the more expensive it can get. Make sure to avoid pinching the crown by grabbing the hat by the brim. It will avoid damaging the hat and prolonging its life. Here is a online store that carries a couple of great deals and selection such as (#1) for only $35 www.ecuadormall.com
The Fedora: Another favorite of mine, and an American classic is the one and only Fedora hat. Felt is normally preferred for this type of hat but I will make an exception on behalf of the summer weather. There are great selections of straw Fedoras which are quite suitable in the heat. Check out (#2) $14.98 by Aldo accessories/ www.aldo.com, (#3) $18 www.torrid.com & (#5) $34.50 by J.Crew / www.jcrew.com.
Large summer hats: For a chic look with extra sun protection go with a large summer hat. Perfect for a beach day! For those who want to make an exception (#4) is really fab and must be my favorite of all. Love the look on these two large hats. $80 by bopbasics / www.shopbop.com & (#7) $34 by villagehats/ www.villagehatshop.com
The Cloche: Last but not least the cloche hat is adorably girly and more fashion than skin conscious. I definitely recommend this fun hat for you lucky sun-tolerant people out there. Check out the price too! (#6) $22 by torrid/ www.torrid.com (It also exists with a feather.)
Here you go girls. Have fun and enjoy the summer sun while being stylish and healthy at the same time.

Heather & Heidi! You girls are awesome! I've always thought you were some of the best dressed girls in Bountiful! Now look at you off in LA! I'm not sure you'll remember me, but your Dad was my bishop in the singles ward and my sister Kate Smith went to school with you (played your triplet in Annie! :D)
Anyways! I've been looking for some cool headbands and I will probably be ordering from you soon!
